"C.A.V.E" includes conservation easements, art, vehicles, equities - and all other non-cash gifts. The IRS has been on the warpath in this arena over the past months, and it continues. In this presentation, we survey recent announcements, court cases, private letter rulings regarding this issue. We will look at the requirements for receipting donors. Further, we use Schedule M as a backdrop for how to report.
